How a live game goes

Everyone gets the same close crop. You have the host’s timer to tap a name. A tick shows who has answered, never what they picked.

The full photo opens for the whole room at once. You see who picked what, who was fastest, and how many fell for the decoy.

Points land on the live scoreboard. After the last face: podium, awards, your rating move, and a rematch button. Everyone starts at 1000; beat higher rated players to climb faster.
Chat is for players 13 and over, filtered for language and links. Points count on the leaderboard like any round.
A party quiz you host from your phone
Compete works like a live quiz night: one person makes the room, everyone joins with the link or the code, and the host starts when the group is in. It fits a group chat, a Discord night or a video call, because nobody has to be in the same place. Pick a 1v1, a quick round for three, or fill all 10 seats for a party. Rounds are short, so a full game takes two or three minutes.
Every player keeps a Compete rating, moves up tiers from Rookie to Legend, and collects awards like Sharpest eye, Speed demon and Fooled the most. Public rooms are open all day for trivia against players online, and the Compete leaderboard shows who is on top.

- Open Compete, tap Make a room and share the link, the 5 letter code or the QR code. Everyone who joins sees the same famous faces at the same moment, and the scoreboard updates after every reveal. It all runs in the browser, no app to install.
- Can I play with friends who are not in the same room as me?
- Yes. Compete is built for playing apart. Send the room link in a group chat, on Discord or during a video call, and everyone plays from their own phone or laptop at the same time.
- How many people can join one room?
- Up to 10 players in one room, and a game needs at least 2. The host can set fewer seats for a 1v1 or a small group.
- Do my friends need an account to join?
- Yes, a free Google sign in, so the room shows real names and everyone keeps their score, rating and awards. It takes one tap and there is no password.
- How long do you get to guess each face?
- 10 seconds by default. The host can pick 5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds, and 5 to 20 faces a game. Faster right answers earn more points.
- Can I play against strangers if none of my friends are online?
- Yes. Play online puts you in the open public room against other players. It starts when at least 2 people are in; alone, you can invite a friend or play a practice round while you wait.
