These terms are the rules for using guesstheceleb.com. By playing, signing in or posting anything, you agree to them. We kept them as short and plain as we could.
Parody and fair play
Guess the Celeb is a parody game made for entertainment. The images in quizzes are edited and are not real photos of real events. They are not statements of fact about anyone, and the people shown have no connection to the site and have not endorsed it.
You agree not to take images from the site and present them as real, use them to harass or embarrass anyone, or use them in a way that could mislead people about a real person.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to use the site, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. You sign in with Google and you’re responsible for what happens under your account. Pick a username that doesn’t pretend to be someone else.
What you can upload
You can build quizzes by mixing faces from our library, or by uploading a photo for a photo quiz. For a photo quiz you may upload a photo of yourself, or of someone who has clearly agreed to it. You may not upload:
- Photos of anyone under 18, ever.
- Photos of other people who have not agreed, including friends, classmates or coworkers.
- Nudity, sexual content, or anything that sexualises anyone.
- Anything meant to harass, threaten or target someone for who they are.
- Anything made to deceive people into thinking an event really happened.
- Photos you don’t have the right to use, spam, or links to malware.
Photo quizzes are only reachable by their link. We delete the photo you upload within 24 hours of the job finishing, and you can delete any result from the Me tab at any time. We can remove any quiz, comment or account that breaks these rules, with or without notice.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us permission to host, display, resize and share it on Guess the Celeb and in previews of your quiz links, for as long as it stays on the site. Delete it and the permission ends, apart from copies already shared by others or kept briefly in backups.
Takedown and copyright requests
If you appear in a quiz, represent someone who does, or own the rights to an image, email [CONTACT EMAIL] with the quiz link and what you would like removed. We take these requests seriously and act on them quickly.
Ad bookings
Signed in players can book ad spots on the desktop site. Every ad is reviewed before it runs. We can turn down or remove any ad, and if we turn yours down before it runs you get a full refund. Ads must be honest, link to a working site, and follow the same content rules as quizzes. Prices and dates are shown before you pay.
The legal bits
The site is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and correct, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses that come from using the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top and let signed in players know. These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
